A-Z Challenge – L – Love, Longing

BM9

I know the theme is 5 sentence fiction and EmoIntel but when the letter L came and the emotion was Love there was no intelligence to it, I knew no other definition of Love but to give, to surrender all to Love. It was never to acquire or own, if things work give love, if there are differences then give more love, if two souls are purely in love with no vested interests or conditions giving surely works. Call me primitive but I need no space of my own in love, suffocate me and let me belong….dedicated to all those who have felt truly in love or loved even once in life.

Am expecting a pure as a melody post from Shashank on the same emotion, click here to read his form.

A-Z Challenge – K – Keenness

K

He walked into his inherited maternal grand mom’s house almost after 30 years; the family feud had kept him away.

Nostalgia stuck to his every pore same as the dust of the dilapidated house, smell of freshly made butter that still lingered or the ripe mangoes that he climbed the tree in the backyard to pick.

Strolling through every room he lifted the copper box that his grand mom never let him touch saying he would get it when the right time arrives, his keenness that he held for so many years gave way.

After opening it with much struggle he found a key to a locked cupboard, his emotions knew no bounds when he found pictures of his childhood, his clothes neatly stacked, his toys, his birthday gifts still wrapped for the years he stopped coming and along with it was his future a letter mentioning property and jewellery that he had inherited.

The letter dropped off his hand as he sat down opening his birthday gifts.

After a super holiday and break on Sunday, I am back to the challenge. This time I haven’t even asked and I know I will invite trouble if I don’t for L 🙂 So am all keen to know what Shashank is writing on Keenness, to read be keen here .

A-Z Challenge – J – Jealous

J

The plan perfectly fit, I look for an easy target, grab the bag and run in the opposite direction.

I ran as fast as I could after stealing the woman’s purse who was carelessly window shopping.

She shouted louder than I thought, barely 200 meters away I turned behind and saw a young boy running towards me.

He caught up with me in no time and grabbed the purse and ran back to the woman as I fell on the ground with his strong punch.

The woman looked relieved of the thought of getting her bag when I saw him run past her in full speed making me nothing but jealous of his intelligent plan.

*******************************************************************************************************

After choosing Happiness, Joyful would be an overkill for me, I ain’t that overtly always in a happy state person. So the next option was jealous, it is said that this emotion can burn relationships….I definitely didn’t want a negative take on it so the one above. Am sure Shashank would have a very unique take on the emotion, to read the best hop on here.

I had been to a flower garden near lake Konstance called the Mainau Island and I saw and clicked of course the best of orchids and tulips I could. Post pending once I get through the challenge.

A-Z Challenge – I – Insecurity

Insecure

She stood in front of the mirror examining her stomach from left to right.

The cosmetic surgeon had done a fantastic job on the tummy tuck, she thought to herself.

It is impossible for anyone to look prettier, big banner movies and top assignments are just a step away.

The pride in her eyes changed with a closer look at her nose, dislocated, the plastic melting away.

Insecurity set in again, another cosmetic touch was on its way.

************************************************************************************************

Insecurity, is that an emotion…well if feeling guilty is then feeling insecure is too an emotion. He isn’t aware of this emotion to write on it and that’s the best state to be in 🙂 So definitely the take on insecurity would be unique, why wait then, hop on to Shashank’s blog and read it here!

A-Z Challenge – H for Happiness

H

Ananya was in pain and Rohan was restlessly moved up and down the aisle, he could handle everything but she being in pain.

He was irritated and upset too for she hadn’t taken a lot of care of herself when he was away.

He would look at the idol of Lord Shiva from the corner of his eye again and again not facing it, the atheist that he was.

“Look my wife is religious and prays you daily, all I want is she be ok? Well not ok but very well and out of this pain…cool?” he spoke to God and he heard the baby cry loud.

“Your wife is ok and it’s a boy!” the nurse pleasantly announced, Rohan’s happiness skyrocketed as he touched the baby’s head with his fingertips before running to see Ananya.

“Why is the girl in your post so awesome and the guy in your post so ….” I said casually. “So….complete it?” he raised his left eyebrow. “Like so dumb? Who says no to love?” I tried to make sense. “Some people take time, wait for the next post!” it ended at that so expect some awesome happiness on Shashank’s take on it here.

A-Z Challenge – Guilty

G

“Stop there! One of the earrings is missing, you have it I know.” said the sales girl to Ravi who had come to buy his wife an anniversary gift.

“No I haven’t taken it, trust me. I left all pieces there as they are beyond my budget.” trembling with a nervous tone he responded.

“More the reason you flicked it, there is no one here and you pocketed it while I was trying the other pieces to show you, give it back or we call the police” a crowd gathered all staring Ravi as the manager grabbed his arm.

“Please do not call the cops, I haven’t stolen it but will pay for the loss.” A teary eyed Ravi responded as the sales girl.

She felt extremely guilty of wrong accusation as tried to get the phone from her shirt pocket and felt the emerald earring that may have slipped when she was trying it on to show it to Ravi.

*****************************************************************************************************

“I never respected you, gave you the love you deserved, I spoiled your life” he said feeling guilty as she stood holding a glass of milk near his paralyzed body.

He a man of 45 married her at the age of 14 and since then she had been a very obedient wife who was very silent and listened much.

For the first time the palace heard her sing as she watered her favorite Hemlock plant.

She would sit by the poisonous plant patiently for days observing every shoot grow as she planned her life.

Her silence was the beginning of her revenge and a slow death for him.

G has been tricky, I changed the word from grumpy to guilty and also wrote not one but two takes on the Emotion. From a super fragile post to feeling guilty read super fiction on Shashank’s thoughts here.

A-Z Challenge – Fragile

F

“I don’t think I want to meet anyone or get engaged, please ma phone whoever you have called and ask him to return ” Ananya yelled as she banged the door of her room.

The break up was not fresh anymore but the memories were, she couldn’t come to terms with the idea of moving on.

She sat on the floor resting her face on the table where she had placed a house of cards her ex had made for her weaving fragile emotions of togetherness with a weak foundation.

The door opened after a light knock and Rohan entered with a pleasant smile, “Hi this is Rohan, care for a friendly talk?”

Ananya looked at a still smiling Rohan who held his hand towards her as the fragile cards flew with the zephyr of a new beginning.

*************************************************************************************************

“Whats the F word?” Shashank inquired. “Fragile!” I said with all certainty still thinking did I get the question right. “Fragile?” a question with an emocon I didn’t understand. “Can’t fragile be an emotion?” that wasn’t a question, it was a statement you don’t have a choice we got to write on Fragile 🙂

A difficult emotion “Fragile” read a completely different take here.

A-Z Challenge – Embarrassed

E

The elite Kapoors’ decided a lunch at Taj to meet and finalize on their to be daughter in law for their only London returned son.

The tables were laid, both families seated, the Pinot Noir along will lavish lunch served.

Mrs. Kapoor kept on staring from the corner of her eye Mr. Gowda wrestle tangdi chicken in his plate when out of nowhere it flew and fell right in from of Mr. Kapoor’s plate.

His eyes widened in embarrassment and his face turned pale, Mrs. Kapoor gulped the entire morsel in a jiffy.

That’s when son Kapoor picked up his plate and sat next to Mr. Gowda kept his fork and knife away and started eating with hands; Mr. Gowda smiled and joined in biting of his left over chicken with his hands too.

***************************************************************************************************

So a delight of being remembered as a good person, well who doesn’t want that isn’t it? E it was and I wanted a very different emotion so chose Embarrassed. A smile guaranteed in the end for both our posts, you start with mine and extend the smile with Shashank’s take on Embarrassment here .

A-Z Challenge – Delight

D

“No there is no way to meet, he will be in the transit lounge; you can’t go there and visit him.” said the airport authority to a dejected Ananya who had traveled specially to meet Rohan for a few hours before he left for his business travel again.

An Indian officer was silently observing her anxiety, after much apprehension let her in to the transit gate G9.

After thanking the official copiously and not believing her stars she texted Rohan and waited with bated breath shifting her weight from one foot to another.

She could hear her heart pounding, her hands sweaty, trembling and extremely nervous waiting for Rohan whom she would be seeing after years, their love still intact.

Their pleasure knew no bounds as he stood there happily smiling, they embraced each other the longest they could, he absorbing her in his arms tighter feeling the rhythm of their heart dance in delight.

***************************************************************************************************

“Women don’t leave men like that in real or in fiction Shashank.” a little annoyed I announced. “Oh, you didn’t get it he kills her.” he said grinning with a sense of achievement on Emotional Intelligence. “Still its unfair, I tried to defend but in vain.” To read more on the C for Content hop on to Shashank’s post here.

Giving no serious thought D is for Delight and for a super delightful dose of 55 word fiction hop on to his post here.

Wish you a very Happy Easter to all my blogger friends. I am writing this post from a small town of Bellagio, Italy where I sneaked in with my Gujju gang for Easter holidays (promise a travel post on it).

A-Z Challenge – Content

content

“Happy Birthday Tina!” Shashi hugged his sixteen year old daughter and handed her a nicely wrapped gift.

“Wow, what is it dad?” exclaimed Tina with all excitement and tore open the wrapper that her dad had almost taken half an hour to pack.

“Oh it’s an iphone, wow dad, so love you. I really wanted this, I feel so content in life.”

Shashi’s mind stuck to that one sentence, of being content in life, the drudgeries at work, a hefty alimony, a home loan, he didn’t know what being content in life was.

He placed his hand on her daughter’s head and then walked out of the room planning the next steps after receiving the pink slip that evening from his boss.

****************************************************************************************************

If B was for Bravery then C has to be for Content, said Shashank in his over excited tone. I agree, I said thinking do we have a difference of opinion, well let’s see 🙂 So our take on the same emotion Bravery were like chalk and cheese and well accepted. To read his thought on Content click here.
